The design and impact of new development on our towns and villages and rural environments is an important consideration in planning decisions. From the quantity and balance of what types of development should be allowed to the suitable styles and forms of architecture that complement the existing area; all are essential considerations in the designing and shaping of our towns and countryside to ensure we protect and enhance the character of our local places.
