We're implementing practical measures to reduce energy consumption and switch to more sustainable means of production. We are also working closely with our communities, education providers, businesses and partners on supporting their sustainability goals.

Staffordshire Sustainability Board

The Staffordshire Sustainability Board was created in 2022. The purpose of the board is to gather the Elected Members (Sustainability/Waste Management portfolio) from councils in Staffordshire to allow discussion on the relevant environmental sustainability issues, debate matters affecting multiple authorities and decide outcomes and objectives for collective projects.

Climate Change Levy (CCL) (gov.uk) is a UK tax provides an incentive for organisations to be more energy efficient and reduce carbon emissions.

Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (gov.uk) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for large organisations which requires organisations to assess their energy scheme every four years.

Green Solutions (SCC) in affiliation with the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) is a programme that offers support to businesses to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
