The partnership continues through 2026/2027 between Stafford Borough Council and Beat the Cold, to help residents of the Borough get access to funding, advice and information about improving the energy efficiency of your home, reducing your fuel bills, and keeping warm.
In the financial year 2025-26, we supported 266 households across Stafford Borough with an average saving on energy bills of £625 per household. We helped save on average £306 per household on water tariffs.

What you can get:
- telephone-based and face-to-face* advice at home
- check on energy tariffs
- help with applying for grants and discounts, for example the Warm Homes Discount
- check that you are receiving all benefits you are entitled to
- support with reducing your utility bills
- help and advice on how to keep your home warm
- registering you as a priority customer
- applying for discounts on your behalf
- guidance and support with resolving problems between you and your energy supplier
You can also get access to funding for energy efficiency measures, that includes:
- insulation
- replacement heating
- renewable heating sources
How to qualify:
All residents of Stafford Borough are eligible for support.
