Transport is one of the largest sources of carbon emissions in the borough. Reducing car journeys, switching to cleaner vehicles and supporting walking, cycling and public transport can help improve air quality and reduce emissions.

We support:

  • expansion of public electric vehicle charging where funding allows
  • improvements to walking and cycling infrastructure through partnership working
  • initiatives that encourage active travel for shorter journeys

Infrastructure delivery is dependent on funding availability and partnership arrangements.
