The Council currently directly supports ten community and voluntary organisations with grants, this support is primarily governed by individual service level agreements which are monitored on a quarterly basis.

Organisation: Citizens Advice Bureau

Department that awarded the grant: Wellbeing

Purpose of the grant: To offer free, accessible and confidential advice and assistance to members of the local community through online, telephone and in person services.

Organisation: Douglas McMillan

Purpose of the grant: To provide a Sibling Support Leader, which this grant contributes to.

Purpose of the grant: To provide a range of holistic care services and support for people with advanced life-limiting conditions, and those close to them, within the Borough.

Organisation: Musical Theatre Stafford

Purpose of the grant: The project will support the delivery of Musical Theatre Stafford’s 2026 adult productions of Sister Act (29 April 2 May) and Come From Away (October).

Organisation: Rising Brook Baptist Church

  • a safe, welcoming space available every weekday
  • free refreshments
  • opportunities to connect with others and reduce isolation

Support with a wide range of needs, such as:

  • access to a community GP

  • benefits and money advice
  • help with managing bills
  • other practical guidance

Organisation: Stafford Community Food Distribution Hub

Purpose of the grant: To procure food, that would otherwise go to waste, in order to maintain the provision of food supply to vulnerable families in Stafford Borough.

Organisation: Stafford District Arts Council

Purpose of the grant: To deliver grants to small, volunteer led organisations in order to champion, support and sustain arts delivery in Stafford Borough. Each grant must pass due diligence checks and comply with all safeguarding requirements.

Organisation: Staffordshire Womens' Aid

Purpose of the grant: Funding of volunteer coordinator for two days per week, alongside associated line management and volunteer expenses. This role is essential to sustaining the volunteer workforce that underpins delivery across our helpline, women’s centre and community-based services.
