Thank you for all those that participated in the consultation for St Mary’s Road Play Area.
We have taken on board all of your comments and we now have a final plan (pdf 8.5mb) available.
The Council are spending £100k to upgrade the play facilities and provide an exciting range of new equipment for toddlers and juniors including:
- Toddler multiplay unit
- Toddler swings
- Seesaw
- Spinner
- Flexus - swayer
- Junior multiplay unit
- Inclusive roundabout
- Sunken trampoline
- Junior swings
- Basket swing
- Zipline
- Picnic benches
The contract has been awarded to Kompan who are now in the process of manufacturing all the new play equipment ready to install in February 2025.
Surveys were distributed to residents by Colwich Parish Council along with their Newsletter in January 2024 and were made available online. The closing date for the consultation was 19 February 2024.
88 responses were received with detailed feedback from residents outlining the issues most important to them.
