Reducing litter is a priority for us, and rightly so. 

We spend around £1 million of your council tax each year keeping our borough clean and we issue on the spot fines of £500 to people who commit litter offences.

A litter-free area also helps attract visitors and new investment.

We work with community groups such as Stafford Litter Heroes who organise litter picks and other events that can help keep the borough clean.

Litter picking equipment can be provided by us to schools to educate children about litter, the consequences of it and the impact this has on their local environment.
