£50,000 has been allocated to upgrade the site.

Fernwood is a small park based in Common ward. It is a small site situated between properties on a housing estate and is suitable for the younger age range. The surface is in a poor state and requires replacement.

It forms part of a recreational network including two other play parks within the ward which is well served by a good population of under 16s. Holmcroft Park is less than a 15 minute walk away.

The deadline for the consultation was the end of October 2026.

The online survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. The results will be analysed and shared in the coming weeks.
