Good News - works on the new play area at Yelverton Park have begun and are due to be completed by the end of January 2025.
The Council are spending £130k at Yelverton Park to upgrade the facilities and provide an exciting range of new equipment for toddlers and juniors including:
- Toddler multiplay unit
- Toddler swings
- Seesaw
- Spinner
- Rocker
- Inclusive roundabout
- Sunken trampoline
- Junior swings
- Basket swing
- Refurbished junior multiplay unit
- Refurbished net spinner
Further improvement works will follow with the installation of a new seating area, connecting path from Falmouth Avenue and a circular pathway around the boundary of the park with an additional footpath running through the centre connecting Torrington Avenue with Yelverton Avenue.
It is hoped this new network of paths will encourage healthier lifestyles and allow greater use of the park in all weathers.
