Good News - works on the new play area at Yelverton Park are complete and the site is open and available to the public.
The Council has spent £130k at Yelverton Park to upgrade the facilities and provide an exciting range of new equipment for toddlers and juniors including:
- Toddler multiplay unit
- Toddler swings
- Seesaw
- Spinner
- Rocker
- Inclusive roundabout
- Sunken trampoline
- Junior swings
- Basket swing
- Refurbished junior multi-play unit (to be completed as weather allows)
- Refurbished net spinner
Further improvement works are now completed with the installation of a connecting path from Falmouth Avenue, a circular pathway around the boundary of the park with an additional footpath running through the centre connecting Torrington Avenue with Yelverton Avenue.
It is hoped this new network of paths will encourage healthier lifestyles and allow greater use of the park in all weathers.
The final works to be completed are the painting of the multiplay unit on the play area and the installation of the seats, picnic benches and bins. These works will be completed over the next few weeks.
Keep up to date with progress here.
