Are you concerned about staying warm in your rented property?

If you are concerned about high heating bills and warmth levels in a property that you rent, it is best to first speak with your landlord to see what you can agree.  From April 2018 there is a new law to ensure that privately rented homes meet basic energy efficiency requirements.  Under new ‘Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards’ (MEES) legislation, landlords cannot grant a new lease for a property with an Energy Performance rating below ‘E’.  Warmer Homes Stafford can advise landlords or tenants about the help and grants that are available to support home heating and insulation improvements and repairs.

Everything you need to know about Air Source Heat Pumps

Air Source Heat Pumps are a renewable heating technology that are being installed into homes to replace more traditional heating systems, like gas or solid fuel. The government are aiming to change the way we heat our homes, to help meet the UK’s net zero carbon emissions target by 2050. Households in England and Wales will be able to apply for a Clean Homes Grant for an air source heat pump, or other low carbon heat pump, from April 2022.

In preparation for this, we have created the following leaflet to provide you with information on air source heat pumps: Everything you need to know about Air Source Heat Pumps.

If you would like further information, please get in touch with Warmer Homes Stafford who can advise you on the latest grants available for energy efficiency measures, that may include air source heat pumps, and also refer you on to receive these measures.
