Staffordshire County Council works with BCRS to provide loans of £10,000 to £150,000 to small businesses who have had difficulty in accessing finance. Loans are provided to businesses that are viable, but have been turned down by traditional sources such as banks. Businesses must be based in Staffordshire and employ less than 50 people. The loans are repayable over a three year period and must support the expansion or development of a business - over 100 small businesses have already benefitted.
The Staffordshire Business Loan Fund is part financed by the West Midlands European Regional Development Programme 2007 to 2013.
