Stafford and Stone Canoe Club
Since its formation in 1973 Stafford and Stone Canoe Club has grown to become the premier Canoe Slalom Club in the UK. The club's concept of training and support has been second to none and has been pivotal in enhancing the quality of Canoe Slalom.
The club prides itself on its annual intake of juniors from local schools, providing them with the development to become accomplished athletes. The clubs athletes have achieved outstanding results both at home and internationally, many of them achieving places on the British Canoeing England Talent Squads.
The club has successfully defended its title as National Interclub Champions for 13 years in a row, winning 23 out of 29 National Championship events.

If it wasn't for Andy Key, Stafford Apex Swimming Club wouldn't be where it is today. Andy has been involved with the club for almost 20 years, helping the club to increase their financial reserves and better funding the creation of new officials through ASA training.
Andy has twice been Chairman of the club, using his knowledge and experience to steer the club through a difficult period. As well as being chairman Andy is on three sub committees. Andy always takes time to meet people after training sessions or to congratulate them after a win.
