Streetscene - Pride in Your Patch

2016 Entries have now closed

Pride in Your PatchPride in Your Patch provides local Borough Councillors with the opportunity to publicise and celebrate the work of unsung heroes in their ward who roll up their sleeves and make a real difference to the way their area or neighbourhood looks.

Streetscene recognise that over the years many such champions have quietly and selflessly given up their time and resources without thought of recognition.  But we want to change that.

Do you know someone in your neighbourhood who is making a difference to the local environment?  Are they someone revitalising the area, or do they keep the community clean and tidy?  Streetscene want to celebrate and reward this work with you.

It could be you, or an individual you know or a group who is keeping the neighbourhood clean and tidy, picking up litter, sweeping up leaves, producing wonderful hanging baskets or who has a front garden to be proud of?  Has there been a co-ordinated clean-up on a piece of forgotten land or have you worked with the council to make a difference to the area?

In response to suggestions made by the public, the Awards are being widened and Pride in Your Patch is now opened to Parish Councils, Schools and members of the public.
