Have your say on growth plan

Date: 9 Oct, 2017

Residents and businesses can have their say on a plan which aims to boost prosperity in Stafford Borough.

Stafford Borough Council has put together a three year business plan which has earmarked growth, wellbeing in the community, and running a tight ship as its priorities

The area has seen unprecedented growth over recent years with more to come including proposals for a hotel, new homes and business space as part of an ambitious £500 million masterplan close to the railway station.

But the plan also highlights providing local people with a good quality of life by maintaining a safe clean and attractive borough for people to live and work in.

Now the Corporate Business Plan has been published for the public to have a look at and give their feedback to the Borough Council.

Councillor Patrick Farrington, Leader of the Borough Council, said: “Growth, wellbeing and financial sustainability sum up the council’s key objectives for the next three years. We have been successful in attracting major investment and this growth enables us to protect services and invest more in those areas that our residents and businesses tell us are important to them.”

Members of the public have until Friday 27 October to give feedback on the draft plan at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/surveys or you can ask for a copy at the Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford.
