The Mayor of Stafford Borough, Councillor Aidan Godfrey, was on hand to help with the prize giving and said: “This enjoyable event did a tremendous job of highlighting the many people in our borough that work hard to make our area a better place.”

Councillor Jeremy Pert, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “This is a great way to say thank you to those who go that extra mile to make Stafford Borough a better place to live, work and visit.

“Many of those who do fantastic work for our community are volunteers and often go unnoticed so these awards give us the opportunity to pay tribute to them and demonstrate that we value all that they do.”
