Learning and Development

We use a combination of approaches and techniques to encourage and develop individual learning and growth to meet organisational objectives.

From the very start you will receive a warm welcome through an induction which will give you the opportunity to go through your role and responsibilities, terms of employment, learn about some of our key policies and procedures as well as provide you with some practical information to make the transition into your new role as smooth and effective as possible. 

No one approach fits all and we recognise this. Employee Reviews are completed on a regular basis to assess an individual's performance and development needs. Coaching and mentoring is used to develop individual skills, knowledge and confidence and e-learning is used to support personal responsibility and a blended approach to learning.

We also support professional memberships as required and invest in Management Development initiatives to develop current, new and potential managers for the future.

On the job learning is important to us and we encourage our staff to complete national vocational qualifications (NVQs) which provide a practical and flexible approach to learning which meets both individual and business objectives. 

We strive to provide a culture which enables individuals to put forward ideas for improvement and challenge existing practices to support performance improvement and responsibility.
